A Century of Flavor, Served Fresh Daily.
A true Philadelphia staple, Schlesinger’s brings the classic Jewish deli experience into the heart of Center City. Known for oversized sandwiches, hand-sliced smoked fish, massive desserts, and all the deli favorites you grew up with—matzoh ball soup, potato latkes, knishes, kugel, brisket, and more—we serve tradition with a modern touch.
Our story goes back nearly a century, when Joseph Schlesinger opened his first deli in New Jersey. Today, his grandson, Allan Domb, proudly carries on the family tradition here in Philadelphia. Step inside and you’ll find authentic flavors, a welcoming atmosphere, and the kind of community spirit that made delis legendary gathering places.
From lox and bagels to corned beef piled high, from black-and-white cookies to Dr. Brown’s soda, Schlesinger’s is more than a meal—it’s a taste of history, nostalgia, and comfort, right here in the city.
